Lets say Sec notes disappears for some reason.

I have a db file saved in my dropbox. 

Would I ever be able to open it and retrieve my text, using my password / pin, perhaps using some other app or program.

The formatting and the ability to manipulate the data wouldn't matter - I would just need to access the text, in an extreme case ??
